The LAUFEN BATHROOMS pavilion for the ISH 2025 trade fair in Frankfurt was the result of an international collaboration between manufacturers, architects, and suppliers from several countries. ISH Frankfurt is one of the world’s largest and most influential trade fairs focused on building sanitary technology – and exhibitions by leading brands here often take the form of full-fledged architectural installations.

The overall concept for the more than 1,200 m² pavilion was designed by the renowned Norwegian studio Snøhetta. The exhibition was conceived as a series of spatial sequences titled Matter Spaces, which explored themes of hygiene, materials, sustainability, and technology in everyday life. Visitors moved through distinct zones, each offering a specific theme, atmosphere, and spatial language.

The studio COLLARCH, together with the Czech-based Janci Co., developed the architectural study and detailed execution documentation as part of the project team. The pavilion was subsequently manufactured and assembled by the Austrian company Tischlerei Krumböck.

The architectural composition of the pavilion was based on a fluid movement between the various themed spaces. Materials such as brass, glass, and textiles highlighted the primarily ceramic products and, through their sophisticated yet effortless elegance, reinforced the philosophy of the LAUFEN brand.
