This new family house is located in northern part of sloppy terrain in the suburbs of Liberec. From the street views, the house appears as a calm, laconic volume. Deliberately, the house does not stand out from the row of typified turnkey houses in its surroundings.
A specific architectural solution of glazed facades which frame the living areas is visible only from the garden. The cantilevered volume of bedrooms on the first floor offers views to the forests on the horizon while shading the terrace on ground floor.
The terrace provides the maximum possible connection between the main living areas and the greenery in the garden. Grayish house facade, selected materials and their natural texture do not attract attention, they appear neutral, utilitarian or even cheap, and prompt the inhabitants to focus to the interior of the house and the garden.
In the garden, the house plays a role of a garden wall, which divides the graciousness of the owners’s private life from the dull reality of suburban residential district.
